As the former President of Elbert Construction (2008-2020) TJ Elbert is committed to excellence and has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Since TJ started Elbert Construction in 2008 the company has achieved many certifications and received many prestigious awards. When it comes to quality and service, Elbert Construction has received the Guild Quality Guildmaster Award two years in a row, the Angie’s List Super Service Award many years, the UASRC Service Award multiple times, and has maintained an A+ rating with the BBB for many years.
Elbert Construction was a certified contractor for many of the best roofing manufacturers in the roofing industry. Elbert Construction was a President’s Club award winning Master Elite contractor with GAF, which is the highest level of certification that a steep slope roofing contractor can achieve. Elbert Construction was also a certified TAMKO Pro contractor, a Master Select Contractor with Certainteed, a Malarkey Certified roofing contractor, and a Preferred contractor with Owens Corning. Elbert Construction also won the Bright Future Award from Owens Corning as a Platinum Contractor.
In addition to steep slope roofing, Elbert Construction also preformed low-slope roofing with certifications to allow Elbert to offer some of the best NDL warranties in the business. Elbert Construction was a certified GAF Master commercial roofing installer, a certified Carlisle commercial roofing installer, and a certified Mule Hide commercial roofing installer. In addition to low slope membrane certifications, Elbert was also certified with GACO Roof coatings.
Elbert Construction also performed a variety of siding projects. As a James Hardie fiber cement siding Preferred contractor, only the highest level of quality and installation are acceptable. Elbert construction also installed a variety of vinyl siding products and is a certified siding installer by the Vinyl Siding Institute (VSI).
TJ sold Elbert Construction to Restoration Builders in 2019 and then worked for Restoration Builders as a Merger & Acquisition specialist from 2021-2023. During that time, he worked on putting many deals together for Restoration Builders with roofing and exterior remodeling companies all over the country with companies varying in size up to $190M in revenue.
TJ Elbert’s personal achievements include a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University, majoring in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, as well as many roofing industry achievements. As Past-President of the Indiana Roofing Contractor’s Associtation (IRCA), TJ is very involved in the roofing industry on a local level. TJ is also a member of the GAF Contractor’s Advisory Council and provides feedback and input to GAF as a contractor to help improve products and programs offered by GAF on a global level. TJ Elbert has many personal certifications such as HAAG certified roof inspector, VSI certified siding installer, many Rodney Webb sales training achievements, a Certainteed Master Craftsman as well as a Certainteed Roofing Wizard.
